Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled CUPS Printing Specialist with extensive experience in managing high-performance, mission-critical print systems within industrial environments—particularly in label printing using enterprise-grade devices such as Zebra, Intermec, and similar industrial printers.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, configuration, optimization, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of scalable, reliable printing infrastructures powered by CUPS (Common Unix Printing System). This role is essential to ensuring uninterrupted, accurate, and high-throughput label printing across warehouse, manufacturing, and logistics operations—where precision and system uptime are non-negotiable.
You will collaborate closely with operations, supply chain, and IT teams to support end-to-end printing workflows, implement automation for routine maintenance,



enforce enterprise compliance standards, and drive continuous improvement in print system reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and deploy CUPS-based printing architectures tailored for industrial-scale label printing environments.
Configure and manage Zebra, Intermec, and other industrial printers using CUPS, LPD, IPP, and custom backend scripts.
Troubleshoot complex printing issues across Linux-based systems, including driver compatibility, network connectivity, and print spooling failures.
Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively detect and resolve print system anomalies.
Automate printer provisioning, firmware updates, and configuration backups using scripting (Bash, Python) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
Ensure print workflows comply with enterprise security, audit, and operational standards.
