Role Description The Tekla Modeler is a full-time, on-site role based in Bangalore Urban, responsible for creating and managing detailed 3D structural models for commercial and industrial projects. Day-to-day tasks include developing steel and concrete models in Tekla Structures, generating general arrangement and shop drawings, and preparing accurate material take-offs.

The role involves coordinating with structural engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure models and drawings align with design intent, codes, and constructability requirements.

The Tekla

Modeler will review and update models based on design changes, resolve modeling issues, and maintain clear documentation and revision control.



The role also includes collaborating on clash detection, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards, and supporting timely delivery of drawings and documentation to facilitate efficient fabrication and construction.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures for 3D modeling of steel and concrete components, including connection detailing and drawing generation.
- Solid understanding of structural engineering drawings, construction methods, and relevant Indian and international design codes and standards.
- Experience in preparing general arrangement drawings, shop drawings, and material take-offs with attention to accuracy and detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, project coordinators, and site teams, and to interpret technical inputs into practical models.
- Good knowledge of CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD) and basic familiarity with BIM workflows and clash detection processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quality-checking skills, with a focus on constructability and error-free documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to document revisions and maintain version control.
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field; prior experience as a Tekla Modeler in industrial or commercial projects is highly desirable.
- Commitment to safety, adherence to organizational standards, and willingness to work on-site in Bangalore Urban on fast-paced projects.
