● End-to-End Ownership: Lead the complete hardware development lifecycle—from initial specifications and schematics to high-power lab prototyping and mass production transfer.
● 1.5 kW – 6 kW LLC Platform Design: Architect and design high-efficiency power converters specifically for EV charging applications operating in the 1.5 kW to 6 kW range.
● Advanced Topology Implementation: Simulate, design, and optimize advanced resonant and soft-switching topologies, focusing heavily on LLC Resonant Converters and Phase-Shifted Full-Bridge (PSFB) structures.
● Custom Magnetics Design: Perform calculations, core selection, winding layouts, and loss estimations to design custom high-frequency transformers and inductors.
● Power stage design: Design power stages using high-voltage MOSFETs (including cutting-edge GaN FETs) along with their corresponding gate drivers, snubber circuits, and protection loops.
● Multi-Layer PCB Layout: Use Altium Designer to create complex, noise-sensitive, and thermally optimized multi-layer PCBs for high-power applications.
● High-Power Lab Validation:
Work safely in high-voltage lab environments to execute physical prototype bring-up, debugging, and testing using oscilloscopes, electronic loads, and power analyzers.
● EMC & Safety Compliance: Ensure all hardware designs are engineered for electromagnetic compatibility, targeting strict EMI/EMC compliance and safety standards.
● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with firmware, mechanical, and thermal teams to optimize overall system efficiency, while coordinating with manufacturing teams for seamless product handoff.
