- Requirements & Specification Ownership
- Convert high-level ideas into clear, structured tasks
- Define acceptance criteria and edge cases
- Eliminate ambiguity before development begins
- Push back on unclear or incomplete requirements
- Technical Leadership (Hands-On)
- Guide implementation across:
- Backend systems
- SQL and data models
- Reporting / BI
- Frontend (React or similar)
- Review technical approaches and ensure consistency
- Assist with complex technical challenges when needed
- First-Line Problem Solving
- Act as the primary point of contact for team questions
- Resolve most issues independently
- Escalate only when necessary with clear options and tradeoffs
- Encourage structured thinking within the team
- Workflow & Process Improvement
- Establish standards for:
- Ticket quality
- QA processes




- Development → QA → release flow
- Reduce rework and unnecessary back-and-forth
- Continuously improve team efficiency and clarity
- AI Enablement & Optimization
- Identify opportunities to use AI to improve:
- Development speed
- QA and testing processes
- Data analysis and reporting
- Implement practical AI workflows (not theoretical)
- Guide team on effective and responsible use of AI tools
- Maintain quality while leveraging AI (avoid low-quality output)
- Cross-Functional Alignment
- Align development, QA, and BI/reporting workflows
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems
- Improve collaboration across hybrid roles

Required Technical Requirements

- Strong experience with SQL and data modeling
- Solid backend development experience
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks (React or similar)
- Experience with reporting / BI systems
- Strong problem-solving and structured thinking skills

Preferred

- Experience integrating AI tools into development workflows
- Experience working with data-heavy applications
- Experience managing or leading remote technical teams
