About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Content Writer with a cybersecurity background to create high-quality, SEO-optimized content for our company website and blog. This role is focused on producing content that builds thought leadership, drives organic traffic, and educates our audience from security practitioners to business buyers — on cybersecurity topics, products, and industry trends.

Key Responsibilities

- Write, edit, and publish SEO-optimized blog posts and website content on cybersecurity topics — threat intelligence, vulnerabilities, malware, cloud security, compliance (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, NIST), and industry trends
- Translate complex security concepts (zero-day exploits, encryption, phishing, ransomware, IAM, etc.) into content that's accessible to both technical and non-technical website visitors
- Conduct keyword research and apply on-page SEO best practices (titles, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking, content structure) to improve search rankings
- Own the content calendar for the blog and website, working closely with marketing/SEO and product teams
- Write and update core website content — product/solution pages, landing pages, "About/Trust" pages — with accurate security messaging
- Research and stay current on CVEs, threat landscape updates, and competitor content to identify timely, relevant blog topics
- Audit and optimize existing blog/website content for SEO performance (content refreshes, keyword gap fixes, internal linking)




- Mentor/guide junior writers or freelancers on technical accuracy and content quality (as needed)
- Collaborate with design teams for blog graphics, infographics, and visual content
- Track blog/website content performance using Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEO tools; refine strategy based on data
- Ensure all published content reflects genuine technical accuracy — no surface-level or generic security writing

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, IT, or related field
- 3–8 years of experience in content/blog writing, with a background or strong working knowledge of cybersecurity
- Solid understanding of core security concepts: network security, threat intelligence, vulnerabilities, encryption, cloud security, compliance frameworks
- Proven track record of writing SEO-driven content that has improved organic traffic/rankings
- Strong grasp of SEO fundamentals — keyword research, on-page optimization, content structuring for search
- Hands-on experience with SEO/analytics tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, Search Console)
- Excellent English writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow, or similar) for publishing blog/website content

Good to Have

- Security certifications (CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP Associate, or similar) — a plus, not mandatory
- Experience writing for cybersecurity vendors, MSSPs, or SaaS security products
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for blog formatting
- Experience managing or mentoring junior content writers
- Experience repurposing blog content for LinkedIn/social media
