Role Description The TGT Social Science (Grade IX & X) & HOD role is a full-time, on-site position based at Delhi Public School, Dwarka Expressway in Gurugram. The role involves planning and delivering engaging Social Science lessons for Grades IX and X in alignment with the school curriculum and educational board requirements.



Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, assessing student performance, maintaining accurate records, and providing constructive feedback to support learner progress. As Head of Department, the individual oversees the Social Science department, coordinates curriculum and assessments, mentors and supports teachers, facilitates professional development, and ensures consistent academic standards across classes. The role also includes collaborating with school leadership, participating in parent interactions, organizing academic events, and contributing to the overall educational environment of the school.
Qualifications
Strong subject knowledge in Social Science and related disciplines, with the ability to integrate Science and humanities perspectives where appropriate.
