Job Purpose

The Service Configurator Application Analyst acts as the key link between business stakeholders and digital delivery teams, translating business needs into scalable configurator solutions. The role focuses on requirement definition, solution design support, backlog grooming, testing, and adoption—ensuring Configurators (and related platforms such as CPQ, Salesforce and ERP integrations) effectively support end‑to‑end business processes.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements across configuration processes (Services, Contracts, Installed Base, Prospect Management).

Translate business needs into user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.





Ensure requirements are clearly understood by delivery teams and aligned with global templates and reference models.

Maintain traceability between business requirements and delivered functionality.

Solution Design & Functional Expertise

Act as the functional expert for configurators and adjacent platforms (ServiceMax, CPQ, integrations with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle).

Collaborate with Architects and Solution Leads to define end‑to‑end solution designs.

Validate solution options against business needs, scalability, and long‑term sustainability.

Contribute to design reviews and ensure adherence to Configurators and enterprise best practices.

Backlog Management & Agile Delivery

Work closely with Product Owners to groom and prioritize the Configurators backlog.

Support sprint planning by clarifying scope, dependencies, and functional details.

Participate actively in agile ceremonies (refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives).
