Role Overview
We are looking for an early-career Algorithm Engineer to join our vehicle-intelligence team. You will work with senior algorithm and systems engineers to turn telemetry into useful, testable signals for fleet operations and vehicle health. The role covers data exploration, feature engineering, model development, evaluation, and the production hand-off needed to make an algorithm reliable outside a notebook.
What You'll Do
Explore time-series telemetry from vehicles and connected devices to understand behavior, failure modes, and data quality.
Build and evaluate algorithms for areas such as anomaly detection, trip and driving insights, health indicators, and predictive maintenance.
Create reproducible datasets, baselines, evaluation metrics, and error-analysis workflows.




Work with systems and backend engineers to integrate algorithms into streaming or batch production paths.
Investigate mismatches between model expectations and field behavior, then improve features, thresholds, or data collection.
Document assumptions and limitations so product and engineering teams can use outputs responsibly.
Contribute clean, tested code and participate in design and code reviews.
Must-Have Skills
0-2 years of relevant industry or project experience.
Robust Python fundamentals and practical experience with NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, or similar tools.
A sound base in probability, statistics, data structures, and algorithmic problem solving.
Experience analysing time-series or other noisy real-world datasets.
Ability to explain how an approach was evaluated, where it fails, and what evidence would improve it.
