Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer / Snowflake Lead with 4+ years of experience in designing, building, and modernizing enterprise data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake, Python, PySpark, Snowpark, SQL, and dbt, with hands-on experience migrating legacy data warehouse technologies to modern cloud-based data platforms.
This role will focus on migrating SSIS/SSAS/MDX-based solutions to Snowflake Native Architecture while enabling AI-ready analytics and scalable data engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance data pipelines using Snowflake, Python, PySpark, and Snowpark.
Lead migration of legacy data platforms (SSIS, SSAS, MDX Cubes) to Snowflake Native Architecture.
Develop optimized ELT pipelines using DBT and Snowflake best practices.
Build and maintain semantic data models to support enterprise reporting, analytics, and AI/ML use cases.
Optimize Snowflake performance, SQL queries, compute resources, and data models.
Collaborate with business stakeholders,
architects, product teams, and data scientists to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Ensure data quality, governance, security, and operational excellence across data platforms.
Mentor junior engineers and drive engineering best practices within the team.
Must-Have Skills
4+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
Robust hands-on experience with Snowflake.
Expertise in SnowSQL, Snowpark, Python, PySpark, and SQL.
Strong experience with DBT for modern ELT development.
Experience designing and optimizing enterprise-scale data pipelines.
Experience with Data Lakes, Lakehouse Architecture, and Cloud Data Warehouses.
Strong knowledge of Snowflake performance tuning and query optimization.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineering teams.
