We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented BIW (Body-in-White) Design Engineer with 2–6 years of experience in automotive body structure and fixture design. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in concept development, BIW fixture design, and CAD modeling using CATIA. You will play a key role in developing innovative and manufacturable BIW solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
This position offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge automotive projects involving vehicle body structures, tooling, and manufacturing processes while contributing to high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop creative BIW concept designs based on customer requirements, design standards, and manufacturing feasibility.
Design and develop BIW fixtures, including welding fixtures, checking fixtures, assembly fixtures, and related tooling.
Create detailed 3D models, assemblies,



and manufacturing drawings using CATIA.
Ensure all designs comply with automotive quality standards, GD&T; principles, and manufacturing best practices.
Participate in design reviews and implement feedback to optimize functionality, manufacturability, and cost.
Collaborate closely with manufacturing, process engineering, tooling, and quality teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Perform design modifications based on engineering changes, customer feedback, and production requirements.
Maintain engineering documentation, BOMs, design calculations, and revision records.
Support prototype development, fixture validation, and production launch activities.
Troubleshoot design-related issues during manufacturing and recommend practical engineering solutions.
Ensure timely completion of assigned deliverables while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.
