About the role
As the Head of Retail Actuarial team, you will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team of 20+ actuaries supporting multiple Gallagher entities. This role requires strong leadership skills to ensure the team operates in a cohesive, cooperative, and high-performing environment- both within the Retail team and the broader actuarial function (including Gallagher Re).
In addition to team leadership,



the role has a key technical component. You will work closely with the Pen Underwriting team (a core part of the Retail team), providing actuarial support across pricing and reserving projects, and acting as a trusted partner to the business.
About Gallagher Centre of Excellence- P&C; Actuarial Team
The Gallagher Centre of Excellence (GCoE) serves as a strategic capability hub, delivering high-quality service and analytical support, including actuarial, across Gallagher’s global businesses.
The GCoE actuarial team comprises 60+ actuaries supporting multiple Gallagher entities globally, including but not limited to Gallagher Re, Pen Underwriting and Risk Placement Services (RPS). While supporting a diverse set of business areas and stakeholder requirements, the team operates as a unified function with a strong emphasis on collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous development.
