Designation: Database Engineering Lead

We are seeking an experienced Database Engineering Lead with strong expertise in database systems and hands-on exposure to application and production environments. The role will be responsible for ensuring database availability, performance, security, reliability, and scalability while supporting business-critical applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Administer, monitor, maintain, and optimize enterprise database systems.
Ensure database availability, performance, security, backup, recovery, and disaster-recovery readiness.
Troubleshoot complex database and production issues and support root-cause analysis.
Work closely with application, development, infrastructure, and production support teams.
Support database deployment, migration, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
Implement database monitoring, automation, capacity planning, and operational best practices.




Ensure compliance with database security standards and organizational policies.
Provide technical guidance and support for critical production systems.
Personnel Specification
10–15 years of relevant experience in database administration and management.
Strong expertise in core database systems such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or equivalent enterprise platforms.
Proven experience supporting application and production environments.
Robust knowledge of database architecture, performance tuning, backup and recovery, replication, and high availability.
Experience with database migration, upgrades, automation, and monitoring tools.
Good analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to manage critical production issues and work effectively in a high-availability environment.
