We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to join our Platform Development
team. You will design, build, and run the internal platform that our product
engineering teams depend on: secure, self-service Azure infrastructure delivered
through GitOps and infrastructure as code, engineered for a 99.99% uptime
target.
This is a hands-on engineering role with 7-10 years of experience expected. You
will treat the platform as a product,
owning its stability, performance, and
running cost. Expect to spend your time automating away toil, shortening the
path from commit to production, and making the platform both cheaper and more
reliable quarter over quarter.
Your EDGE assignment/You will:
* Build and operate our internal developer platform as a product, with paved
paths, golden templates, and self-service capabilities for product teams
* Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable Azure infrastructure using
Terraform
* Own platform stability and availability against a 99.99% uptime target,
including SLOs, error budgets, and capacity planning
* Design for resilience: high availability, multi-zone deployments, graceful
degradation, backup and disaster recovery, and regular failure testing
* Drive cloud cost optimisation through rightsizing, autoscaling, reserved
capacity, spot workloads, and removal of idle resources
