The IBM i / VIOS Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the design, provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of IBM Power logical partitions (LPARs) and Virtual I/O Server (VIOS) environments supporting critical enterprise workloads. This role works closely with architecture, storage, networking, security, and application teams to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available IBM Power infrastructure.

The engineer will build current IBM i and VIOS partitions,



configure virtualized storage and networking resources, support hardware migrations, and ensure partition environments remain compliant, performant, and operationally resilient. Responsibilities include participation in major infrastructure initiatives such as Power hardware refreshes, data center migrations, disaster recovery readiness, and operating system modernization efforts

Positions in this function design, engineer, and manage the organization's infrastructure and operational platforms. From a cloud services model, this includes services commonly thought of as IaaS and PaaS and their underlying foundational components.
