Role Purpose
The Hostel Warden will be responsible for managing day-to-day hostel operations, ensuring student safety, discipline, and well-being, and maintaining a positive living environment within the campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the hostel and ensure smooth functioning
- Maintain discipline and ensure adherence to hostel rules and regulations
- Monitor student behavior and address grievances or conflicts promptly
- Ensure safety, security, and well-being of all hostel residents
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and security teams
- Maintain records of student occupancy, attendance, and movements
- Conduct regular rounds/inspections of hostel premises
- Handle emergency situations effectively and responsibly
- Organize student engagement activities to promote a positive hostel workplace
- Act as a bridge between students, parents, and university administration.
Eligibility Criteria
- Graduate in any discipline (Hospitality / Social Work / Psychology preferred)
- 2 to 5 years of experience as a Hostel Warden / Residential Supervisor / similar role
- Experience in educational institutions, hostels, or residential facilities preferred
Required Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Good conflict resolution and problem-solving ability
- High sense of responsibility, discipline, and integrity
- Ability to handle emergencies and work under pressure
- Basic administrative and record-keeping skills
Working Conditions
- Residential role (candidate may be required to stay on campus)
- Rotational shifts / availability for emergencies
- 6 days working week
