We're looking for economists with public policy experience to help shape how AI understands and reasons about the real world. Your expertise will directly influence the quality of AI-generated policy analysis — making these systems more rigorous, accurate, and grounded in applied economics.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role where your domain knowledge genuinely matters. You'll be working alongside top research labs on one of the most impactful technology challenges of our time.
Review and evaluate AI-generated economics content focused on public policy, regulation, and welfare
Assess the quality of economic reasoning, including tradeoffs, assumptions, and conclusions
Provide structured, detailed feedback to improve clarity, rigor, and real-world relevance
Validate policy scenarios and applied economics examples for accuracy and credibility
Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
3+ years of experience working or teaching in public economics, applied economics, or policy analysis
Strong command of policy evaluation frameworks and economic tradeoffs
Able to critically assess written economic arguments, recommendations, and explanations
Comfortable providing detailed written feedback at a professional standard
Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
Nice to Have
Graduate degree in Economics, Public Policy, or a related field
Background in government, think tanks, academic research, or policy consultancy
Familiarity with AI systems or content evaluation workflows
