Accountabilities:
The Data Engineer will be responsible for architecting, deploying, and maintaining enterprise database environments while ensuring scalability, security, and operational excellence. The role involves working closely with technical teams and customers to design solutions, optimize performance, and support cloud modernization initiatives.
Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade database solutions using cloud-managed and cloud-native database services.
Implement and maintain database architectures across platforms such as Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, Bigtable, AlloyDB, and Firestore.
Lead complex database migration projects from on-premises environments or other cloud platforms to Google Cloud.
Develop migration strategies for both homogeneous and heterogeneous database environments while minimizing downtime.
