PrismHR is the HR, payroll, and benefits platform used by employer-services organizations across the United States, backed by Vensure Employer Solutions. As a Software Engineer on the product team you will build and maintain the client-facing applications — Angular on the front end, Node.js and Express services behind them, and the data layer underneath.
You will develop features end to end, design and build RESTful services and microservices, write your own tests, participate in code review as both author and reviewer, and take ownership of your work through to production rather than handing it over at merge. You will debug real production issues across tiers, which is where most of the genuine learning on this platform happens, and work in containerized environments with Docker.
AI is part of the work here, both in how we build — AI-assisted development is normal practice on this team — and in what we build, as AI capability moves into the product.

You will need:
5–7 years of hands-on software development
Strong Node.js and Express, with real experience designing RESTful services or microservices
Solid Angular front-end development
Docker and containerized development
Practical experience with AI — whether AI-assisted development tooling, building AI-enabled features, or both
Git, Agile delivery, and unit testing as normal practice
Ability to debug across tiers and reason from symptom to root cause
