Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Lead Automation Test Engineer to drive automation testing for digital banking applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Web, Mobile, and API automation, hands-on experience with Java, Appium Selenium, and knowledge of AI-powered testing. The role involves leading automation strategy, mentoring team members, and ensuring high-quality software delivery in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities
Lead automation testing initiatives across Web, Mobile, and API applications.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable automation frameworks using Playwright and industry best practices.
Define automation strategy, coding standards, framework architecture, and quality metrics.
Develop and execute automated functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and end-to-end test suites.
Automate REST API testing using Playwright API, Rest Assured, Postman, or similar tools.
Build and maintain mobile automation frameworks using Appium for Android and iOS platforms.
Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, DevOps, and QA teams throughout the SDLC.
Review automation code, mentor team members, and promote best practices in test automation.
Analyze automation results, troubleshoot failures, and drive continuous improvements in test coverage and execution efficiency.
Ensure compliance with banking security, regulatory, and quality standards.
Qualifications
8-10 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation, with 2–4 years in a Lead role.
Strong hands-on experience in leveraging Generative AI to accelerate software testing and automation throughout the SDLC.
Robust hands-on experience in Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, and Appium for Web, Mobile, and Cross-browser automation.
Strong experience in API automation using Playwright API,
