Job Title: Oracle PL/SQL Developer


Location: Chennai


Experience: 4–6 Years


Work Mode: Work From Office

Job Overview:


We are seeking an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer with strong expertise in SQL development, performance tuning, and database programming. The role requires hands -on experience in writing complex queries, optimizing performance, and managing database objects in a production environment.




Key Responsibilities:



- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries involving multiple table joins

- Design and implement indexing strategies to improve query performance

- Write and execute dynamic SQL for DML and DDL operations

- Develop and maintain database objects such as packages, procedures, and functions

- Handle large datasets using cursors, loops, and collections

- Perform DML operations (INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE) and DDL operations (CREATE, DROP)

- Implement exception handling and error logging mechanisms

- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize PL/SQL code

- Collaborate with application teams for database integration


Required Skills:







Core Skills:


- Strong experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL

- Expertise in complex joins and multi -table query design

- Query optimization and indexing techniques

- Experience with dynamic SQL


Technical Skills:


- Cursor types: Implicit, Explicit, REF CURSOR, SYS_REFCURSOR

- CASE and DECODE statements

- Packages, stored procedures, loops, and collections

- Exception handling and logging mechanisms

- Robust debugging and performance tuning capabilities


Good to Have:


- Experience with Java or backend integration

- Exposure to migration or modernization projects

- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments


Soft Skills:


- Strong attention to detail

- Proactive and ownership -driven approach

- Good communication and stakeholder management skills

- Ability to work in a fast -paced environment
