Job Title: Windows System Administrator L2

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Windows System Administrator L2 to manage, maintain, and support Windows-based infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance of servers, networks, and virtualization environments. The ideal candidate should possess robust troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience with Windows Server technologies, Active Directory, virtualization platforms, and enterprise networking.

Key Responsibilities

System Administration

- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments (2008/2012/2016/2019).
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
- Manage server performance, storage, and system resources.

Server Management
- Administer and maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, File & Print Services.
- Create and manage user accounts, security groups, and organizational units.
- Configure and manage virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Implement and maintain backup, restore, and disaster recovery solutions.

Network Administration
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity issues.
- Configure and support VPN, TCP/IP, VLANs, switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Coordinate with network teams to ensure reliable and secure infrastructure.

Security & Compliance
- Implement security best practices for Windows servers and endpoints.
- Monitor security logs, investigate incidents, and perform vulnerability remediation.




- Manage antivirus solutions, firewall policies, and endpoint security.
- Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and industry standards.

Technical Support
- Provide Level 2 technical support for server, system, and infrastructure-related issues.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and network problems.
- Support user onboarding/offboarding, account management, and device configuration.
- Guide end users on IT best practices and system usage.

Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed documentation for server configurations, SOPs, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Prepare reports on system performance, incidents, backups, and security activities.
- Maintain asset inventory and change management records

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 36 years of experience as a Windows System Administrator or in a similar Infrastructure Support role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019.
- Expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), DNS, DHCP, File Server, and Print Server administration.
- Experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, or Microsoft Hyper-V.




- Good understanding of TCP/IP, VPN, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise networking concepts.
- Experience with backup and recovery tools.
- Knowledge of firewalls, antivirus solutions, endpoint security, and security best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a 24x7 support environment, including rotational shifts if required.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or Azure AD.
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration.
- Exposure to monitoring tools such as PRTG, SolarWinds, or ManageEngine.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified, VMware VCP, or ITIL Foundation will be an added advantage.
