Duties & Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on Windows, macOS, and Linux systems.
- Provide technical support to users via phone, email, remote access, or in person.
- Install, upgrade, and configure operating systems and business applications.
- Manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions in systems.
- Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity, including LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and internet issues.
- Install and maintain antivirus software and ensure endpoint security compliance. Set up and support email clients.
- Perform regular system updates, patch management, and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation for hardware and software.
- Escalate complex technical issues to higher-level support teams when necessary.
- Perform data backup and recovery when required.
- Ensure timely resolution of support tickets while meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and knowledge base articles.
- Assist in onboarding and offboarding employees by configuring and collecting IT equipment.
- Follow IT security policies and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant degree or diploma in Information systems or information technology.
- Windows 10/11 and basic Linux/macOS knowledge
- Past experience administering server-side technology and networked computing systems.
- Ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy, Zendesk)
- Ability to prioritize a wide range of workloads with critical deadlines.
- Availability outside of working hours to resolve emergency issues promptly.
- Excellent critical thinking, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Patient and skilled demeanor, with a can-do attitude.
