Role & responsibilities

- Carry out mine surveys using Total Station, DGPS, GNSS and drone/UAV photogrammetry; process data and generate contour and bench plans.

- Prepare and maintain statutory plans and sections as required under the Mines Act, MCDR and DGMS circulars, and keep them updated within prescribed intervals.

- Compute monthly volumetric measurement of overburden removal, ore production, stock piles and drilled/blasted volumes for billing and MIS.

- Mark out benches, haul roads, ramps, drill patterns, boundary pillars and lease boundaries at site.

- Verify contractor bills and quantities against joint survey measurements.

- Maintain survey records, registers and instrument calibration schedules; support statutory inspections and audits.

- Coordinate with Geology, Planning and Production for mine design implementation and reconciliation.

Preferred candidate profile

- Valid Surveyor's Certificate of Competency is mandatory.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Surpac / Datamine and drone survey data processing (Pix4D / Agisoft or similar) preferred.

- Experience in large opencast mines with mechanised operations.

- Accuracy, integrity in measurement and willingness to work at site locations.
