JOB PURPOSE

The position serves as a frontline operational leader responsible for commanding Crash Fire Tenders (CFTs) and managing emergency response operations at IGI Airport. By ensuring rapid and effective firefighting, rescue, and evacuation efforts in coordination with the Ops Commander, AOCC, and ATC, the role is crucial for safeguarding life and property. It includes overseeing firefighting installations, conducting regular drills, managing fire safety systems, and supporting emergency planning initiatives. Through active engagement in crew development, training, and inter-departmental coordination, the position directly contributes to operational readiness, regulatory compliance, and the airport’s overarching mission of ensuring a safe, efficient, and secure aviation setting.
