Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced NPI Engineer with 5–7 years of experience in the Automotive EMS industry, specializing in cable and wiring harness manufacturing. The candidate will be responsible for managing New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from product transfer through production launch, ensuring robust manufacturing processes, quality compliance, and successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end New Product Introduction (NPI) activities for automotive cable and wiring harness projects.
Review customer drawings, specifications, BOMs, and technical requirements to ensure manufacturability.
Develop manufacturing processes, work instructions, and process flow documentation for new products.
Conduct Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)



and prepare Process Control Plans.
Support PPAP documentation and customer submission activities.
Plan and execute First Article Inspection (FAI) activities in accordance with customer and automotive requirements.
Perform manufacturing risk assessments and implement effective risk mitigation plans throughout the NPI lifecycle.
Prepare and submit Manufacturing Information Files (MIF) and other NPI documentation as required.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Design, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, and Customers to ensure successful product launches.
Validate manufacturing processes, production equipment, tools, jigs, and fixtures before mass production.
Drive process improvements using Lean Manufacturing principles and basic Six Sigma tools.
Monitor pilot builds, resolve manufacturing issues, and support smooth transition to serial production.
