The Sr. Engineer / Associate Manager - Electrical is a critical technical leadership role responsible for the end -to -end electrical design and on -site execution of industrial and process plants. This position ensures the delivery of robust, compliant, and high -performance electrical systems by driving design excellence, fostering cross -functional collaboration, and overseeing project implementation from concept to commissioning. The incumbent serves as a key technical authority, ensuring adherence to engineering standards, safety regulations, client specifications, and project timelines. By leading design reviews, coordinating with vendors and stakeholders, and supervising site activities, this role plays a pivotal part in achieving project success, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
Design Engineering
- Lead the development and review of electrical design calculations, system layouts, and configuration strategies for industrial plants.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of electrical drawings, BOQ/BOM, general arrangement (GA) drawings, and vendor -submitted technical documentation.
- Facilitate seamless technical coordination with vendors, procurement, project management, and construction teams to resolve design and execution challenges.
- Ensure all electrical designs comply with applicable engineering standards, statutory regulations, and safety protocols.
- Represent the project team in technical discussions with consultants, clients, and regulatory inspection agencies.
- Prepare and issue RFQs for critical electrical equipment, including motors, transformers, switchgear, and control panels.
Site Execution & Supervision
- Supervise electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities at project sites to ensure quality, safety, and timeliness.
- Partner with contractors and on -site teams to drive productive and protected project execution in alignment with engineering specifications and project schedules.
- Monitor material procurement status, work progress, and adherence to technical requirements throughout the execution phase.
- Enforce strict compliance with industrial safety standards and statutory regulations during all site operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical power systems and industrial plant electrical engineering.
- Strong track record in HT/LT systems, transformers, motors, switchgear, and electrical layout design.
- Proficient in industry -standard design tools such as ETAP, AutoCAD, SP3D, PDMS, or equivalent software.
- Comprehensive knowledge of industrial safety standards and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Exceptional interpersonal, coordination, and problem -solving skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering.
- 5–8 years of hands -on experience in electrical design and project execution within industrial or process plant environments.
