Current strategic pursuits
The Senior Linux System Engineer will be responsible for high-performance data capture systems. We have the mission of "Capturing, Storing and Transforming" the world's capital markets data. In this critical role, you’ll be an integral member of a team managing the data pipeline that flows between each of those stages. The role has a large operational component while also requiring someone to envision future growth in both utilization and technology selection for the components of work.
Work qualifications
5 to 7+ years of professional experience with Linux, preferably RHEL or RHEL derived distributions (CentOS, Rocky Linux, AlmaLinux)




5+ years of experience with scripting languages Bash and/or Python
Significant experience using Ansible to develop and maintain playbooks and roles to automate server provisioning and configuration management
Proficiency with Linux and an understanding of Linux server architecture and operation including performance and latency tuning
Experience designing, deploying, and managing containerized applications using Docker, Podman or other containerization technology in production environments
Should be very comfortable with data copying, scheduling tasks and Linux daemons
Extensive experience with application deployments and OS updates, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies for potential failures
Experience with Git-based version control systems, such as GitLab and/or GitHub and managing pipeline in these products
Basic networking knowledge and ability to interpret Wireshark/tcpdump capture output
Experience with AWS, S3,
