This is a strategic, high-impact role where you will own the entire SQL Server ecosystem and act as a technical authority for database reliability and automation.

Role Overview

This is not a traditional DBA role; it is a SQL Infrastructure Lead position. You will be the go-to expert for designing and maintaining high-availability clusters, troubleshooting the most complex linked server performance problems, and automating away manual toil.



You will work closely with US-based SRE, DevOps, and Engineering teams during Eastern Time hours, ensuring seamless 24x7 operational coverage for mission-critical databases.

Detailed Key Responsibilities

High Availability & Disaster Recovery Architecture (30%)
Architect, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade HA/DR solutions using Always On Availability Groups across multi-subnet, geo-redundant configurations.
Configure and troubleshoot Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC) , including quorum models, node evictions, and split-brain scenarios.
Own the disaster recovery strategy: define RPO/RTO objectives, design and execute automated DR drills, and maintain runbooks for regional failovers.
Manage and monitor Log Shipping and Transactional Replication topologies, resolving latency, blocking, and sync issues rapidly.
