Job Responsibilities:

- Manage end-to-end procurement of CAPEX items, engineering equipment, and project materials

- Handle chemical industry procurement, including reactors, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, utilities, and plant machinery

- Lead project procurement for recent plant setups, expansions, and technical upgrades

- Source, evaluate, and develop suppliers for mechanical equipment and project-related items

- Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and BOQs to ensure accurate procurement

- Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Production, and Quality teams for requirement finalization

- Prepare and float RFQs, evaluate technical & commercial bids, and finalize techno-commercial comparisons

- Conduct negotiations on pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions





- Manage procurement via ERP systems such as SAP / MRP / SAM / HANNA (based on company usage)

- Ensure timely delivery of critical project materials and track procurement schedules

- Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities through alternate sourcing and value engineering

- Maintain purchase orders, contracts, documentation, and vendor performance records

- Resolve issues related to quality, delivery, inspection, and logistics

- Ensure compliance with procurement SOPs, safety norms, and audit requirements

- Strong knowledge of CAPEX procurement, engineering equipment, and project materials

- Good understanding of chemical plant operations and mechanical systems

- Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills
