Hankook Tyre UK has announced the appointment of Ho Seok Chea as Managing Director for the United Kingdom, marking a significant milestone for the South Korean tyre manufacturer's British operations. Mr Chea formally took up his position on 1st January 2026 at Hankook's UK headquarters in Daventry, Northamptonshire.
A Career Built Across Three Continents
Mr Chea began his career at Hankook's Global Headquarters OE Division in South Korea in 2005, where he built a solid grounding in both the technical and commercial dimensions of the tyre industry. Over the course of nearly 21 years,
he has accumulated expertise spanning sales, marketing, analytics and international business development.
His career has taken him across multiple continents, with roles at Hankook's European headquarters, the United States and, most recently, the Netherlands. This breadth of experience gives him a nuanced understanding of the diverse dynamics that characterise different tyre markets, an asset that will be central to his work in the UK.
