ProjectEDWARD Honours TyreSafe Chair Stuart Lovatt for 2025 Contribution

Stuart Lovatt, chair of TyreSafe, has been recognised with the Outstanding Contribution to Road Safety Award for 2025 at the ProjectEDWARD Parliamentary Reception held at the House of Commons.

The prestigious event, which took place yesterday, was sponsored by Andy MacNae MP and jointly organised with the Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety (PACTS).

Presenting the award, ProjectEDWARD founder James Luckhurst praised Lovatt's dedication to the cause, stating: "Our final award goes to someone who has devoted his career to saving lives on our roads, combining strategic leadership with an unwavering passion for safer journeys for all. He has championed the simple, powerful message that valuable tyres are fundamental to road safety.



His energy has helped put tyre safety firmly on the national agenda and driven real change in driver behaviour."

Lovatt has spent more than two decades working to improve road safety across the UK. His distinguished career includes serving as Strategic Road Safety Lead at National Highways, where he played a key role in shaping national safety policy. He has also contributed to influential national safety boards including RoSPA and PACTS, and has served as a long-standing judge for the Prince Michael International Road Safety Awards.
