Tanguy Leon-Pflieger takes over North European B2C sales leadership at Michelin

Michelin reshuffles leadership as Tanguy Leon-Pflieger succeeds Agostino Mazzocchi.

Michelin has announced the appointment of Tanguy Leon-Pflieger as Vice President for B2C Sales in its North European region. He replaces Agostino Mazzocchi, who has been named President and CEO of Michelin Italy.

The leadership change places Leon-Pflieger in charge of B2C operations for car, motorcycle, and bicycle tyres across key markets including the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Nordic countries. He will report to Maria Rottger, President and CEO of Michelin Europe North.

Regional responsibility across premium consumer segments

Leon-Pflieger takes on responsibility for Michelin’s consumer-facing segments in several of the company’s most competitive European markets. His remit covers both replacement and OE channels for passenger car tyres, as well as two-wheel and bicycle sectors.



This role is strategically important as Michelin continues to reinforce its position in the premium tyre category across the region.

Commenting on the recent position, Leon-Pflieger said his ambition is to “further strengthen the relationship with our customers, demonstrate the leading quality of our products even more and grow our market share in the premium segment.”

Leadership shift supports local market growth

Leon-Pflieger steps into a key leadership role previously held by Agostino Mazzocchi, who now moves to lead Michelin’s business in Italy. The change reflects Michelin’s ongoing effort to align its regional leadership with both global strategic goals and market-specific growth plans.

His appointment also signals continued investment in customer relationships and brand positioning across Northern Europe, where premium and sustainable mobility solutions remain a strategic focus.
