Job Purpose:

Support environmental management and compliance for clean energy projects by implementing environmental monitoring programmes, maintaining regulatory compliance and providing technical support to minimize environmental impacts across project and operational sites.

Key Responsibilities:

- Execute environmental monitoring programmes covering air emissions, groundwater, surface water, wastewater, soil quality, noise and waste management.
- Support implementation of Environmental Management Plans (EMP), consent conditions and statutory environmental compliance requirements across project and operational sites.
- Monitor environmental performance of gasification, gas cleaning, utilities, wastewater treatment and associated facilities to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Collect, analyze and maintain environmental monitoring data and prepare reports for regulatory submissions and internal reviews.
- Support groundwater protection, wastewater management, effluent treatment, hazardous waste management and pollution control initiatives.
- Coordinate environmental inspections, compliance assessments and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Support environmental impact assessments,



environmental risk studies and implementation of mitigation measures during project execution.
- Coordinate with Projects, Operations, HSE and regulatory agencies on environmental monitoring, inspections and compliance activities.
- Maintain environmental records, permits, monitoring registers and documentation to support audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
- Support environmental awareness initiatives and promote environmental best practices across project and operational teams.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering or related discipline; postgraduate qualification preferred.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in environmental engineering or environmental management within energy, mining, chemicals, process industries or large infrastructure projects.
- Good knowledge of environmental regulations, environmental monitoring techniques, pollution control systems and statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience in air quality, water quality, wastewater, hazardous waste and environmental data management.
- Familiarity with Environmental Management Plans (EMP), environmental audits and regulatory reporting.
- Valuable analytical, documentation, problem-solving and stakeholder coordination skills.
