Main Domain Requirement
We are looking for an R&D; Operations Manager with robust Food & Beverage NPD experience who can manage a high-volume R&D; pipeline from project intake to commercial launch.
The role will manage 200+ concurrent R&D;/NPD projects and coordinate a team of approximately 10 members, including formulation executives, project coordinators, pilot-plant associates and sensory coordination.
Key Responsibility Areas
● 200+ R&D; Project Portfolio Management – Project prioritization, stage tracking, timelines, ownership and closure.
● NPD / Stage-Gate Management – Concept → Feasibility → Formulation → Trial → Sensory → Scale-Up → Commercialization → Launch.
● Cross-Functional Coordination – Strong coordination with R&D;, QA/QC, Regulatory, Procurement, Packaging, Marketing, Supply Chain and Plant/Production.
● Formulation & Trial Operations – Lab trial planning, RM availability, pilot-plant scheduling, formulation cards, trial sheets, yield and costing documentation.
● Sensory Evaluation Management – Coordinate sensory panels, consumer trials, results and formulation feedback.
● Commercial Scale-Up & Product Launch – Pilot trials, factory scale-up, regulatory/label sign-off, packaging readiness and commercialization.
● Team Leadership – Manage approximately 8–10 R&D; team members, workload allocation, mentoring, performance and capacity planning.
● MIS & R&D; Documentation – Strong command over Excel/MIS, project dashboards, trackers, SOPs and audit-ready technical documentation.
● Cost & Capacity Optimization – Control R&D; trial costs, wastage, vendor TAT and lab/pilot-plant utilization.
