Role Overview
We are looking for a practical, detail-oriented Programme Associate to drive our field initiatives and support project management from end to end. This role is perfect for someone who loves being on the ground but can also manage data and write solid reports from an office.Your time will be clearly split into two areas: 60% on direct, on-ground program implementation (primarily managing our Cash Transfer Programme) and 40% on remote project management, data handling, and stakeholder coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
1. On-Ground Program Implementation (60% of your time)
- Fieldwork & Data Collection: Lead field teams on the ground to collect high-quality Baseline and Utilization data. You will make sure surveys are accurate and filled out correctly.
- Cash Transfer Logistics: Directly supervise and manage the secure, timely distribution of cash transfers to beneficiaries in target communities.
- Problem-Solving in the Field: Spend significant time on-site to monitor progress, support field staff, and fix operational problems as they happen.
2. Remote Project Management & Operations (40% of your time)
- Data Management: Clean and organize the data collected from the field using basic statistical tools (like Excel) to prepare it for analysis.
- Reports & Documents: Write transparent project updates, data reports, field summaries,
donor-ready reports, and case studies based on field insights.Internal
- Team Coordination: Liaise cross-functionally with internal departments for smooth Community Work operations.External Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain healthy relationships with external partners, local village leaders, and government authorities to ensure smooth field permissions and project support.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Graduate or Post-Graduate degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Sociology, or a related field.
- Strong experience running field surveys and managing small field teams.
- Comfortable using Excel to sort and clean data and data analysis.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Excellent reprot writing and speak comfortably with rural community members.
- Hindi and English is mandatory. Marathi is preferred.
This is an active field role. You must be willing to spend up to 60% of your time traveling to and working directly within rural project sites, occasionally in basic rural settings and varying weather conditions. The remaining 40% will be desk-based project coordination conducted remotely.
