- Design Special Purpose Machines (SPM) and automation systems.
- Prepare 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks / AutoCAD.
- Develop machine concepts based on customer requirements.
- Prepare BOM and design documentation.
- Select standard mechanical components such as motors, gearboxes, bearings, cylinders, linear guides, and sensors.
- Coordinate with production, assembly, purchase, and electrical teams.
- Support machine assembly, installation, and troubleshooting activities.
- Implement design modifications and continuous improvements.
- Ensure design quality, manufacturability,
and project timelines.
Skills Required
- Robust knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- SPM machine design and automation concepts.
- Mechanical calculations and tolerance understanding.
- Pneumatic and basic hydraulic knowledge.
- Drawing reading and GD&T; knowledge.
- Problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in conveyor systems, assembly automation, pick-and-place, material handling, or industrial automation projects.
- Exposure to customer interaction and project execution is an added advantage
