Seeking a part time Speech Language Pathologist to assist with biomechanical analysis of swallowing data on modified barium swallow studies for a fully onsite position. The candidate must have completed all masters-level coursework and degree requirements in speech language pathology and have completed the student training version of the Modified Barium Swallowing Impairment Profile with at least 80% mastery. Previous research experience preferred.
Successful applicants will be hired to assist with aspects of a randomized clinical trial focused on exercise for the muscles used in swallowing. Job duties will include database management, measurement of videofluoroscopy swallowing studies, assisting with data extraction, assisting with data analysis and dissemination.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly pay range for this position is $30.00-$35.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
Qualified applicants must have completed their graduate education in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Sciences and Disorders and hold an active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
and at least one year of clinical work experience in adult swallowing disorders. Applicants with MBSImP(TM) or DIGEST(TM) training are preferred.
