. HIRING FOR Specialist – SQA (Plastic Moulding)

Job Summary :-

To ensure robust quality assurance and supplier development for plastic injection molded components and assemblies by driving APQP, PPAP, supplier capability enhancement, and process excellence. The role is responsible for achieving zero-defect quality standards, improving supplier manufacturing performance, and supporting successful new product introduction through strong technical expertise in injection moulding, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What will you do?

New Development Quality & NPI

1. Hands on experience in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process for new plastic components and assemblies.
2. Review and validate tool designs, mold flow analysis, and critical dimensions during the Current Product Development (NPD) phase.
3. Conduct dimensional and functional evaluations and sample sign-offs with suppliers.

PPAP & Part Qualification
1. Manage and approve the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions for all new and engineering changed components.
2. Verify that suppliers meet all customer-specific requirements, including FMEA, Process Control Plans, Dimensional Results, and Material Test Reports.
3. Drive Zero-Defect strategies by validating supplier manufacturing readiness and process capability.

Supplier Upgradation & Development
1. Assess current and potential suppliers using systematic quality, capability and risk evaluations.
2.



Identify capability gaps at supplier facilities and drive systematic upgradation programs (e.g., implementing 5S, Poka-Yoke, and upgraded QMS).
3. Plan and conduct supplier technical training to improve yield, reduce scrap, and optimize process parameters.

Injection Moulding Expertise
1. Act as the internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) on plastic injection moulding defects (e.g., short shots, sink marks, flash, warpage).
2. Guide suppliers on parameter optimization, material selection (Engineering Plastics & Commodities), hot/cold runner systems, and tooling maintenance.
3. Audit supplier molding floors to ensure compliance with material storage, drying, and processing standards. I

Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving
1. Monitor supplier PPM and Quality KPIs, identifying trends to trigger proactive improvement plans.
2. Lead structured root cause analysis (RCA) utilizing core quality tools (8D, Ishikawa, Why-Why Analysis) for any supplier-related non-conformances.

3, Ensure effective implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA). What are we looking for?

Min 5 to 10+ years of hands-on experience in Supplier Quality Assurance, specifically focused on Plastic Commodity and Injection Moulding processes.

Core Competencies: Expert-level understanding of AIAG core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC). Certifications: Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949) is highly desirable.

Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, supplier management, and cross-functional communication skills; ability to travel frequently to supplier locations
