The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial health by managing accounting operations, cash flow, financial planning, and compliance. The role requires strong leadership, analytical capabilities, and hands -on experience in financial reporting, preferably within the aviation industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to the CEO and support strategic financial decision -making
- Oversee daily accounting operations including Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), General Ledger (GL), and Treasury
- Manage and delegate responsibilities across the finance team
- Prepare daily cash flow statements and forecasts; monitor liquidity and working capital
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize cash flow
- Ensure timely invoicing based on job cards raised by the Operations team
- Coordinate with operations, commercial teams, and service providers to ensure timely receipt and processing of third -party invoices
- Ensure accurate cost recognition and client invoicing in line with agreed terms
- Monitor A/R and ensure adherence to credit terms; coordinate with Business Development for collections
- Review client accounts and recommend revisions to credit limits/terms
- Approve credit requests before service delivery
- Ensure reconciliation of A/R and A/P accounts; resolve discrepancies
- Schedule and manage supplier payments as per agreed credit terms
- Monitor and reconcile credit card transactions and balances; ensure timely top -ups
- Oversee monthly reconciliations (bank, cash, credit cards, prepayments)
- Lead monthly closing activities and review adjusting entries
- Prepare and track monthly closing checklists
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and manage tax filings
- Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Coordinate with HR on payroll processing for HQ and overseas staff
- Maintain relationships with clients, banks, service providers, and regulatory authorities
- Negotiate with banks for financial facilities
- Represent the company for client meetings, collections, and banking activities when required
- Ensure proper maintenance of books of accounts until final audit
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; working knowledge of Word, Access, and PowerPoint
