? Job Summary
The Assistant Professor in Physiotherapy will be responsible for delivering quality academic instruction, leading clinical practical sessions, and contributing to scholarly research within the Department of Physiotherapy at UIAHS. The candidate will mentor undergraduate (BPT) and postgraduate (MPT) students, participate in clinical training, supervise research projects, and support institutional accreditation efforts (NAAC/NIRF).
?️ Key Responsibilities
1. Academic & Teaching Duties
Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lectures, practical sessions, and clinical demonstrations for BPT and MPT courses as per university guidelines.
Pedagogy & Innovation: Implement up-to-date, student-centric teaching methodologies, interactive learning techniques, and simulation-based training.
Student Assessment: Design coursework, formulate internal examination papers, evaluate answer scripts, conduct viva-voce examinations, and maintain academic records.
Mentorship: Serve as an academic advisor, supporting students through academic guidance, career counseling, and clinical skills mentoring.
2. Clinical Supervision & Practical Training
Supervise student postings in affiliated clinical laboratories, OPDs, and hospital rotorships.
Instruct and evaluate students in core practical skills including manual therapy, electrotherapy, exercise therapy, neurological/orthopedic rehabilitation, and biomechanics.
Ensure all clinical and laboratory equipment is safely operated, calibrated, and well-maintained.
3. Research & Scholarly Activities
Pursue independent and collaborative research projects in relevant sub-specialties (e.g., Orthopedics, Neurology, Musculoskeletal, Sports, Cardiopulmonary).
