Job Description

1. Production Planning & Control
 Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
 Ensure optimal utilization of machinery, manpower, and materials.
 Monitor production output and take corrective actions to meet targets.
2. Process & Operations Management
 Oversee copper rod manufacturing (CCR/rolling mill), wire drawing,
annealing, bunching, stranding, extrusion, and cable manufacturing
processes.
 Ensure smooth workflow across departments.
 Minimize downtime and improve productivity.
3. Quality Assurance
 Ensure adherence to BIS/ISO and customer specifications.
 Coordinate with Quality team for inspections and testing.
 Implement corrective and preventive actions.
4. Cost Control & Efficiency
 Monitor production costs, wastage, and rework.
 Improve yield and reduce scrap.
 Implement lean manufacturing practices.
5. Team Management
 Supervise production engineers, supervisors,



and operators.
 Conduct training and performance reviews.
 Maintain discipline and workforce motivation.
6. Safety & Compliance
 Ensure adherence to safety standards and statutory requirements.
 Promote safe working culture on shop floor.
7. Reporting
 Submit daily production reports and monthly performance analysis to
Management.
 Coordinate with Maintenance, Stores, Quality, and Sales teams.
Qualification & Experience
 Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Metallurgical Engineering.
 12–15 years of experience in copper rod, wire, or cable manufacturing.
 Solid knowledge of CCR lines, wire drawing machines, extrusion lines.
 Experience in handling plant operations and manpower.
