South Indian Chef

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and passionate South Indian Chef to join our culinary team at a 3-Star Hotel. The ideal candidate should have experience in preparing authentic South Indian dishes while maintaining high standards of taste, quality, hygiene, and presentation. The chef will be responsible for managing the South Indian kitchen section and ensuring excellent guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare authentic South Indian breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes.

- Cook a variety of items including Idli, Dosa, Vada, Pongal, Upma, Poori, Chapati, Parotta, Sambar, Chutneys, Rasam, Kurma, Biryani, and South Indian meals.

- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.

- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen according to food safety standards.

- Monitor food stock and assist in inventory management.

- Minimize food wastage and ensure proper storage of ingredients.

- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.

- Follow standard recipes and hotel quality guidelines.





- Ensure all food is prepared and served on time.

- Comply with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Requirements

- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a South Indian Chef in a hotel, restaurant, or catering establishment.

- Strong knowledge of authentic South Indian cuisine.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen workplace.

- Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.

- Team player with a positive attitude.

- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualification

- Diploma or Certificate in Hotel Management, Catering, or Culinary Arts is preferred.

- Relevant work experience is mandatory.
