MIDF is hiring Interns
MIDF (Manuscripts & Inscriptions Digitisation Foundation) is looking for interns to join Pratnakirti, our epigraphy research and digitisation centre, based in Dharwad, Karnataka.
What you'll do: Support our digitisation efforts by studying epigraphical publications, extracting accurate, research-ready historical data and helping build our online repository for India’s documentary heritage.
Duration: 4–6 months Mode: Online or in office at Dharwad, Karnataka
Who We Are Looking For: We are seeking candidates who possess a strong foundation in epigraphy, history, or related fields, combined with linguistic expertise in at least one of the following tracks: Track 1: Knowledge of Sanskrit and its respective scripts.
Track 2: Knowledge of Farsi and the Nastaliq script.
Additional Requirements: Familiarity with standard digital tools (Google Workspace: Sheets, Docs, etc.). Comfortable integrating AI tools into modern research workflows. A sharp eye for detail and a genuine passion for preserving India's inscriptional heritage.
