Job Description: Purchasing Specialist

Location : Pune

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented
Purchasing Specialist to join our procurement team. The Purchasing Specialist
will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective and cost-effective
procurement of goods and services for our organization. This individual will be
responsible for executing purchasing activities, managing supplier
relationships, negotiating contracts, and maintaining inventory levels.

Responsibilities:

1. Execute end-to-end procurement processes, including requisition processing,
supplier selection, purchase order creation, and order tracking.
2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing
requirements and provide guidance on procurement best practices.
3. Identify potential suppliers, conduct market research, evaluate vendor
proposals, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
4. Manage supplier relationships by monitoring performance, resolving issues
or disputes, and conducting periodic supplier evaluations.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure
reliable delivery of quality goods and services.
6. Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing
excess inventory or stockouts.
7. Analyze pricing trends, market conditions, and contract terms to identify
cost-saving opportunities.
8. Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, pricing agreements, and
other relevant documentation.
9. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in
procurement to enhance knowledge and improve processes.
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as finance, operations, and
logistics to ensure seamless coordination of procurement activities.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in mechanical design engineer, supply chain management,
business administration or a related field (or equivalent experience).
