Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Software Tester role based in Chennai.

The Software

Tester will design, execute, and document test cases to validate POS, inventory management, and eCommerce features across web and related applications. Daily tasks include performing functional, regression, and integration testing, identifying and documenting defects, and working closely with developers and product teams to reproduce issues and verify fixes. The role involves analysing requirements, creating test plans, and contributing to quality assurance processes and standards.

Tester will also help improve test coverage, maintain test documentation, and support release activities to ensure stable, high-quality product deliveries.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Software Testing and Test Execution, with hands-on experience in manual and/or automated testing.
- Ability to design, maintain, and execute clear and comprehensive Test Cases based on functional and technical requirements.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills for troubleshooting issues, interpreting test results, and assessing product quality.
- Experience in Quality Assurance practices, including defect reporting, tracking, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with POS, retail, or eCommerce systems is an advantage.
- Knowledge of test management and bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail or similar).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a cooperative team environment.
