Role Description The Software Engineering Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Kochi, responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions that support diagnostic products and internal systems. This role involves hands-on coding, architectural decision-making, code reviews, and ensuring software quality and reliability in alignment with regulatory and industry standards.

The Software Engineering Lead will mentor and guide software engineers, coordinate with cross-functional teams such as R&D;, product management,



and quality assurance, and translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. Day-to-day activities include planning sprints, managing technical roadmaps, troubleshooting complex issues, optimizing performance, and continuously improving development processes and tools. The role also requires staying current with emerging technologies relevant to diagnostics software and contributing to long-term technology strategy.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming with experience in modern languages and frameworks.
- Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, building scalable and secure APIs and services.
- Applied knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and best practices.
- Experience leading engineering teams, including mentoring, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
- Familiarity with SDLC, version control, CI/CD pipelines, testing methodologies, and documentation standards.
- Exposure to healthcare, diagnostics, or regulated environments (e.g., FDA, CE, ISO) is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
