Role Description The Social Worker role at Narayani Sena is a full time, on-site position based in Haldwani.

The Social

Worker will engage directly with individuals and communities, including visits to old age homes, orphanages, shelters, and areas where people face social and economic challenges. Daily responsibilities include assessing needs, coordinating support services, organizing outreach activities, and facilitating programs that empower women and marginalized groups. The role involves documenting cases, maintaining accurate records, collaborating with local partners and volunteers,



and ensuring services are delivered with dignity and cultural sensitivity.

The Social

Worker will also participate in community awareness initiatives, support program planning, and contribute to building strong, trust-based relationships with beneficiaries and stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills to build trust and rapport with diverse communities.
- Demonstrated ability in community outreach, casework, and coordinating social support services.
- Skills in documentation, basic reporting, and maintaining organized records of beneficiaries and programs.
- Capacity for problem-solving, conflict resolution, and crisis intervention in challenging situations.
- Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to non-discriminatory, inclusive practices.
- Ability to work on-site in Haldwani, including field visits to various community locations.
- Prior experience in social work, community development, or nonprofit organizations is highly beneficial.
