: SOC Audit Consultant / Senior Consultant

Location: India (Hybrid in Hyderabad /Remote, based on business requirements)

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced SOC Audit professional to join our Assurance/Risk Advisory team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience performing SOC 1 ,SOC 2 and ISO audit engagements, a strong understanding of internal controls, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams and clients. Candidates with prior experience at a Big Four , Big six or consulting firm are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and execute ISO audit, SOC 1 and SOC 2 audit engagements from planning through issuance of reports.
- Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of controls across IT and business processes.
- Perform walkthroughs, control testing, evidence evaluation, and documentation in accordance with professional standards.
- Prepare clear, complete, and well-supported audit documentation that meets firm quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure audit engagements comply with applicable professional standards, firm methodologies, and quality control policies.
- Drive audit quality by performing thorough self-reviews and addressing review comments promptly and effectively.
- Maintain engagement files that are consistently prepared for internal quality inspections, peer reviews, and regulatory reviews.
- Support audit quality initiatives, including methodology updates, standardization of documentation, and continuous process improvement.
- Identify control deficiencies and communicate findings and recommendations to clients.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand business processes, systems, and control environments.
- Prepare high-quality workpapers, audit documentation, and client deliverables.
- Assist clients with readiness assessments and remediation activities for SOC examinations.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including IT Audit, Cybersecurity, Risk Advisory,



and external stakeholders, as required.
- Stay current with evolving industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices related to SOC reporting.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 2–8 years of relevant experience in SOC audits, IT audit, or assurance services.
- Hands-on experience with SOC 1 Type I/II and SOC 2 Type I/II examinations.
- Solid understanding of internal control frameworks, including COSO and trust services criteria.
- Experience in control testing, risk assessment, and audit documentation.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience with a Big Four / Big Six Consulting firm (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, or PwC or GT or BDO) or Boutique consulting firm in SOC Audit or IT Assurance.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, CISA, CIA, CISSP, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor are preferred.
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related control frameworks.
- Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, PCI DSS, or other information security and compliance frameworks.
- Experience using audit and GRC tools.
