Job Summary
The Senior Resident – General Surgery is responsible for providing comprehensive surgical patient care, assisting in operative procedures, managing emergencies, participating in teaching activities, and ensuring compliance with hospital, NMC, MUHS, and NABH guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Assess and manage surgical patients in OPD, IPD, Emergency, ICU, and OT.
Assist and perform surgical procedures under consultant supervision.
Conduct ward rounds and maintain accurate medical records.
Manage surgical emergencies and trauma cases.




Participate in undergraduate teaching, seminars, and academic activities.
Guide interns and junior residents.
Follow infection control, biomedical waste management, and patient safety protocols.
Perform on-call and rotational duties as assigned.
Qualification
M.S./DNB in General Surgery.
Valid State Medical Council Registration.
Skills
Clinical and surgical competency.
Emergency management.
Communication and teamwork.
Documentation and HIMS proficiency.
Reports To: Professor / Head of Department (General Surgery)
