Role Overview :
As a Technical Architect at Skeps, you will serve as the primary bridge between complex business requirements and robust engineering execution. You will lead the design of high-performance, scalable application architectures, ensuring that our platform remains resilient as it handles increasing transaction volumes. Working closely with product managers, engineering leads, and stakeholders, you will define the technical roadmap, mentor high-performing development teams, and drive architectural decisions that directly influence the reliability and speed of our financial services ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and modular application architectures to support the growth of our fintech marketplace.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technology stacks and frameworks to optimize system performance and reduce latency in transaction processing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex business needs into actionable technical specifications and long-term product roadmaps.
- Establish and enforce engineering best practices, including code quality standards, security protocols, and automated testing, to ensure high system availability.
- Mentor senior developers and lead technical discussions to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering organization.
- Identify and mitigate technical debt by proactively refactoring legacy components and optimizing infrastructure for future scalability.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in designing large-scale distributed systems and microservices architectures within a cloud-native environment.
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment between business goals and engineering efforts.
- Strong proficiency in modern programming languages and database technologies, with a focus on building high-concurrency, fault-tolerant applications.
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to navigate ambiguous requirements and deliver robust solutions in a fast-paced workplace.
- Experience in leading technical teams and driving architectural consensus in a collaborative, hybrid work environment based in Gurugram.
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field, complemented by 10 - 15 years of progressive experience in software engineering and system design.
